Do you know someone with a disability? Have you watched him cope with some of the challenges that a disability presents? Has she accepted charity work, or an internship without hope of employment. Is he under employed in a job he is over qualified for? Is he aware of his legal rights and governmental programs that can empower him in the workforce?
The workforce needs talented people with disabilities. One solid career decision could make all the difference. Improved self-esteem, the freedom to rent an apartment, own a house or car, go on vacation, pay taxes-in short-independence are all possible through competitive employment.
